On
the northern coast of Eastern Cuba lies this quaintly named
beach Of glittering fine sands hemmed in by a high cliff and
abounding in luxuriant coconut palms and sea grape berries
that are a permanent invitation to relaxation.
The
Eagle Ray Diving Center on the western tip of the beach gives
you the chance to go for a dive in the old Bahamas Channel
and visit various underwater sites at depths from 5 to 40
meters, with different ormations such as coral barriers, tall
crags, cozy dales,vertical walls or cliffs, some with gaps
opening into the abyss.

Coral Depth: 10 meters
Description:
A coral barrier with abundant fauna, mainly small coral fish, diverse
coral species and large gorgonians and sea fans are the main feature
of this site.

Corona Depth: 40 meters
Description: The site has a semi-circular coral formation resembling
a crown, hence its name. There are big gorgonians, corals, sponges
and medium and large fish.
Canto
Bonito Depth: 35 meters
Description: In the area there is a wall that drops from a depth
of 15 meters, abounding in lobster (Panulirus argus), crab, octopus
(Octopus vulgaris) and myriads of coral fish.
Pesquero Depth: 40 meters
Description: A coral bottom teeming with sponges, gorgonians and
fish. Its major attraction: numerous colonies of the highlyvalued
black coral.
La
Cadena Depth: 40 meters
Description: There is a chain with massive links that spans the
entrance channel from east to West. The area has a wide variety
of invertebrates that have made it their habitat.
