Casa Isel y Ileana
My review: I stayed with Isel and Ileana for five nights at the start of my trip and another night at the end of my trip. Both ladies made me feel extremely welcome and did their best to help during my stay, even though I don't speak Spanish and they speak little English.
This casa is in a good location and close to all the main attractions in La Habana Vieja, and a short walk to central Havana too - recommended!
In case you have any allergies, there are two small and very friendly dogs in the house (plus a couple of cockatiels)...Isel makes sure they're in another room when you're there.

How was your room?: The room itself is very pleasant - with two sets of doors leading onto balconies over two different streets; you get a double bed with night stands, dressing table and fridge freezer. You also have access to your own private bathroom with shower (over bath), sink and toilet.
How was the food they offer?: Ileana's cooking is great, and certainly the evening meals I had there were better than in the restaurants I ate at in Havana. Breakfast was fruit, with a omlette/egg pancake, plus some sort of bread ensemble; dinner was meat/fish with rice, salad (canned green beans, advocado and tomato or similar).
Other services they offer: Isel kindly washed my jeans when they got splattered with mud on the first night - beware the heavy downpours!

Isel e Ileana
We made a reservation but because of other guest who lost their pasports and had to stay longer, we where not able to stay at Isel e Ileana, which we really had been looking forward to. But no problem we could stay at a neigbours house.
It was a very small room and you had to pass through the owners living room. At first we accepted it because we were still a bit impressed by all the hustlers who tried to "help" us through the streets, finding a parking space, basicly wanting money! But we went into Havana and realised that we had to stay there for three nights and thats not where we had come for all that way. So we decidede to find something else and at the end decided for hotel Raquel near Plaza Vieja. What a good decision!!! Much more expensive but so nice! Huge room, good bed and the atmosphere! That was worth the extra money.
So no review for the casa, just what happend to us.

Casa Isel & Ileana
My review: This was a wonderful place to stay while we visited Havana. The ladies were hospitable and informative. Isel helped us plan our activities and negotiate the unfamiliar city. Ileana's cooking was awesome. I highly recommend having her cook for you. The bedroom was pretty and clean, with balconies on two sides. There was an air conditioner, which was nice, because a couple of nights it was very hot and we had to use the AC. We had a bathroom just for our use and Isel washed our laundry for us also. Full Service! I would definitely recommend this Casa and will stay there if I'm lucky enough to visit Cuba again.

How was your room?: The room was charming, comfortable and clean, had AC and TV, and felt private.
How was the food they offer?: Wonderful. And they gave us so much food that I couldn't eat it all, which was a tragedy.
Other services they offer: They cleaned our laundry and acted as tour guide/travel agents, providing us with information and direction in planning our activities.
Other comments: Highly Recommended.

Casa Isel y Ileana
Review
I simply adored my time in Isel and Ileana's home! It was the most charming and friendliest place I stayed on my 5 week tour of Cuba. The hostesses were warm, extremely humorous, and helpful with getting around the city. Not to mention the food was fantastic and some of the best I had while in Cuba! I loved the home and hostesses so much that I returned for additional days at the end of my trip. Oh and the location is fantastic- close to Malecon and many of the shops, squares, and cafes of Habana Vieja.

Review
A good reason to visit Havana again in the future!
The casa is situated in the heart of Old Havana (Habana Vieje) and very close to Obispo, Malecon and Floredita.
The 2 hosts gave us a warm welcome and did everything to make us feel at home.

How was your room?: The room was cosy en clean, with a balcony, TV, very clean private bathroom with shower/tub and a toilet.
All nicely decorated.
How was the food they offer?: They offer a typical Cuban breakfast en also diner. We really enjoyed that and we would surely recommended that!
Other services they offer: The hosts can offer help with exploring Havana if you want them to.
