We really enjoyed our stay at this casa and even stayed there again the night before our flight.
The casa is in a great location (minutes walk from Malecon, Peseo del Prado and Habana Viaja) and looks really cosy and clean. Juan Carlos and Clarita are helpful and warm hosts and we felt like at home. As other commentators have mentioned, the breakfast is a MUST! It was the best breakfast we had during our 2 weeks stay in Cuba!
I would definitely recommend to stay at Casa Juan Carlos.

Juan Carlos and his wife were extremely friendly, the meals were delicious, and their casa was roomy and tidy. The house is centrally located, with most tourist spots within easy walking distance.
We quite enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to others looking for a casa in Havana

While travelling in Cuba I came back to stay with Juan Carlos and Clarita whenever I stayed in La Habana. Both Juan Carlos and his wife Clarita as well as the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fantastic and fills you up until dinner! The house has an excellent location: 5 minutes from the Malecón, 10 minutes from Parque Central and Habana Vieja. Make sure to get to the right house: Juan Carlos' and Clarita's place is in the FIRST floor. Don't mix it up with the place downstairs.

This is a brilliant place to stay. Juan Carlos and Clarita are the perfect hosts, they are friendly, helpful and welcoming and full of useful information about their city. The food is amazing, delicious breakfasts every morning and Claritas home cooking is fantastic. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The house is in a brilliant location, a 5 minute walk from the Malecon, 10 minutes from Parque Central and Habana Vieja, you are away from the tourist centre and in the heart of Centro Habana. Its the kind of place that people dont want to leave and if you read the comments in the visitors book, everyone seems to go away with the same sense of having stayed with a lovely family and been priviledged to ses another sside to Cuba.

Want to see, fell and taste the REAL CUBA? Basically, the best place to stay at in Centro Habana is CASA JUAN CARLOS ... the owners are your friends, not your landlords, it's perfectly located, the food is better than great, and it's the perfect base from which to visit the rest of the country. I have stayed there many-a-time and can't wait to get back there.
