Casa Lourdes
My review: We had a wonderful stay here. Lourdes is very well organised. The house is lovely, and spotlessly clean (despite the building work which was just being completed during our stay). Great breakfasts- sadly no evening meals. Lourdes has lots of information for guests and the whole family is happy to chat, help out with queries or problems, but they respect your privacy as well. The house was fully booked whilst we were there, so word has obviously got around!
I recommend booking in advance for this one.

Casa Lourdes
My review: One room is a bit smaller than than the other. The bigger room has two huge windows that open for a nice cross breeze. Both share a kind of covered courtyard with tables and rocking chairs. It's very beautiful.
I'm sure there are other attractive casas as well, but the reason to stay here, though is the people. The checkbox "willing to offer information" about the house doesn't do it justice. They sit you down with a map when you first arrive, explain how everything works, offer recommendations, and alert you about a few scams.
I was here to learn Spanish and my girlfriend for salsa dancing. I can't tell you how many phone calls Lourdes has made for us helping to organize these things. If this is your first trip, I highly recommend them. Also extrememly safe.

Review
The house it self is 10 out of 10. It was designed by a catalan architect in the early 1900 in a beautifull Modernist style and it still conservates some of the original features. A very rare and amazing piece of architecture.
The location is also perfect it is 3 minutes walk to Plaza Vieja and 3 minutes from El Capitolio, in an amazing area of Havana Vieja.
The hosts are perfect. They know how to treat people. If you just want your room and dont want to interact with them, they are very respectfull.
If like us, you enjoy some old chatting and laughing arround the table you will get as much as you can imagine. We areally enjoyed our stay here and we have to admit that we left a little bit of our harts in this house.

How was your room?: Good! In line with what we got in other casas in Cuba, basic but good.
Anyway, who want to be in the room when you are in HAVANA??????
How was the food they offer?: Only breakfast... Very good. Fruit, juices, eggs, butter, milk!
10 out of 10 for the price.
Other services they offer: Anything they can do to help they will.
Other comments: What can i say? That i felt like i was visiting my own familly rather than renting a room.
We can reacomend this casa highly enough, if they are available book this house!
