In the very heart of Havana's Vedado district, the Nacional's hill-top setting, among regal gardens overlooking the broad expanse of the Malecon, is doubtless one of its most attractive features. The Old Town is a short taxi-ride away (down Malecon or 23rd Avenue), and the Gato Tuerto and La Zorra y el Cuervo, bolero and jazz club, respectively, are virtually right next door.
