La Zaragozana is not only one of the most popular restaurants in the Habana Vieja quarter, it also claims to have been one of the first of its kind, founded in 1830 by a man from Zaragoza in Spain. Today it still specialises in the local cuisine of that region, as well as seafood, fish and meat dishes.
This is a good place for family meals, intimate conversations, and especially business dinners. The establishment still conserves the building's colonial appearance, such as niches in the walls, the decorative ceilings and wooden columns.
Dark colours dominate the decor and help highlight the white tablecloths. On the menu there are typical Spanish plates such as beans with spicy chorizo sausage, "cocido made from chickpeas and pork; and the indispensable paella; there are also a wide variety of cocktails, spirits and beers.
