I stayed there at (date): Summer 2009
This is a great place to stay. I would recommend it to any of my friends traveling to Holguin. Very friendly family, really clean environment, extremely good conditions in general.

How was your room?: Very confortable!
How was the food the offer?: I did not eat there, as I was eating out all the time. The few times I had breakfast was really nice, with fruits, natural juice and most important they offer it to me for free!
Other services they offer: His son, David speaks good english, will translate and give you directions and very usefull hints about the city.
Other comments:I dont have pictures with me, but I am more than willing to send them to you on another time.

It is a beautiful house, which is located in the center of the city, in a very nice place, with all facilities and nice people, very friendly, with good and fresh food, prepared with an special taste, that was amazing. All people in the family are professionals. It has beautiful beaches at 30 minutes from the house, with white sank and transparent water.
I was fully surprised with all the services and I\\\'m planning to spend my next vacations there.

I have promised to e-mail them to the owner and can send them to you also Tell us about the casa!: My husband and I stayed at Casa Ceila for 2 nights in July 2009 and it was great. Ceilia rents one large double room with spacious private bathroom. The room has air con, fan, tv, cd player and fridge and along with the bathroom is spotlessly clean. There is a bright lounge area with rocking chairs and an outdoor eating area. Secure parking is available across the road.
The casa is located very centrally, just a few minutes walk from the main square, sites, restuarants etc. One of the lovely things about the casa is being able to sit on the doorstep cuban style and watch the world go by.
Celia provides meals on request and both her breakfasts and dinners are lovely. Food hygiene is a priority for her and she only uses bottled water in the cooking which she does for her guests. She speaks some English (much better than she belives herself) and does all she can to try to speak in English.
When we arrived I had been unwell (the dreaded cuban tummy)and she was fantastic, gving advice, preparing me special teas and really looking after me. She really made us feel at home.
I would recommend this casa to anyone staying in Holguin. We took some photos whch we have promised to send to Celia so hopefully they will be on Cuba Junky soon too.

The casa is located in Downtown Holguin just 3 blocks north of 1 block west of the Main Central Park. It is only a 5 min. walk to the central town area where everything is located( cafes, bars, stores, parks, etc).
The Lady of the House is a retired Doctor by the name of Dra.Celia Serret Chang and her husband works for the State telecommunications company (ETECSA).
This activity is new for this couple as they only started in December 2005. Her English is a little difficult but she understands quite a bit and makes a great effort to express herself in English. Her and her husband are great and friendly people and they helped make my first experience in a Casa Particular a very positive one.
The accommodations are quite nice and comfortable. They rent one room with a double bed, air-conditioning, fan and fridge is available. The bathroom is private and has good hot water pressure (this compared to other Casas I stayed at during this trip). An important note; although this Casa is close to the center town it is located on a relatively quiet street (again compared to others I stayed at during this trip) also the room does not face directly onto the street but over to the back and side of the building (details that become relevant after a few different experiences).
I hope this information makes it to your web site as these fine people should get proper exposure for their great Casa Particular.

In the middle of Gibara, no private entrance but 2 beautiful rooms on the ground floor, both with private bathroom, airco and ceiling van. In front of the rooms a small porch with rocking chairs and small garden with sun bed. Dining room half in and half outside the house. Garage for the car can be arranged for 1 cuc per day.
Ramiro speaks a bit English and the food is great.
