Casa Elio y Isel
This is definitely the best casa particular we've been to, and we've travelled all over Cuba. The house is impeccably clean, the rooms are spacious and have been professionally renovated and nicely furnished. The food is... Well, let's just say the lady of the house should have her own cooking show. The portions are humongous, too! But you should not visit because the house is beautiful - visit because of the hosts. They are both very warm people, quick to give you excellent advice, and what is very important they do not treat you like a wallet - they treat you like a family member, which means their advice will help you avoid hustlers on the street (or anywhere for that matter), visit the best places in town and see everything that needs to be seen. We are absolutely going to go back when we return to Cuba!
