Hotel Internacional
Have travelled for many years to Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican and 12 times to Cuba (10 to Varadero....3 times this year). We love Cuba but this hotel was a huge disappointment. It is rated 4 star but suggest it should be 2 or less due it's state of disrepair. The whole hotel is very antiquated (and we were expecting that) but the mold issues, broken concrete and water leaks make it look bad and is unsafe and unhealthy! Alot of the people checking in, after seeing their room, asked to be moved to other hotels. The food was horrible and if you didn't go when it opened there was little left. Lots of people brought their own food, snacks and condiments and survived on that or they ate dozens of eggs and bread, bread and more bread. Lots of comments about how bad it was! Lots of! people very unhappy, including us! Would not recommend this hotel to snyone! Shame on Gran Caribe for not keeping this hotel up to some sort of standard. Definitely not a four star and definitely DON'T STAY HERE!
How was your room?: Moldy walls, curtains, bedspread, bathroom. Towel bar fell off, tub didn't drain, toilet didn't flush, a mirror separated our room from the next and the hair dryer has been seen in our museum at home.
How was the food the offer?: Horrible and not plentiful. Get there early or there is none!
