Cuba's first inhabitants appreciated the cool shade provided by palm-thatched roofs. Visitors who discover the "Varadero Cistern" can also appreciate some authentic Creole food. There are two ways of getting here, on foot through Primera Avenida, or by car through Calle 36 where there is parking. Tables are arranged beneath the shade of a caneye (thatched canopy) and along the side of the restaurant. The bar serves Cuban and international mixed drinks, along with the popular local Mojito (Fresh Mint Rum Julep). The house Pollo al Aljibe is a highlight. The 120-capacity dining area is ideal for large groups traveling together.
