Casa Niulvys y Papo

Papo y Niulvys are very kind and friendly people,we could stay there for the intire holliday! we wanted to stay for 2 nights but we stayed a week, The food was better than in a 5 star hotel. Niulvys is an amazing cook. The homemade garlicsauce and the grilled lobster in tomato and garlic sauce were our favorites. Sometimes she cooks with a bit of a arabic style, like houmous and chickpeas and mint. The casa is very spacious and clean. Papo makes an excellent mohito and pinacollada, all with fresh fruits and juices. Papo & Niulvys will make your stay the best in Cuba!"

Casa Papo y Niulvys

Our stay with Niulvys and Papo in Vinales was the highlight of our trip to Cuba! We only stayed two nights, but I wish we were able to stay much longer. They were incredible hosts making us feel welcome and comfortable in not only their home but Vinales too. Papo met us at the bus station for the short walk back to their house. The house, set back from the street behind a gate, is spacious and lovely. Papo and Niulvys organized several activities for us, from a private horse back tour to a mountain lake, to renting bikes for us to ride into the National Park. Niulvys is an exceptional cook, and not only shared her recipes with us but showed us how to make everything. Most of the fruits and vegetables came right from their own garden. I enjoyed talking with Niulvys and feel lik! e I left with a new friend!

papo and niulvys were the best people than we knew in all Cuba since we began to communicate by email, I had the sensation that we would feel like at home. when we arrived, they received to us as if they knew us all the life, gave the welcome us with a fresh natural juice that we took in the vestibule with a wonderful view. niulvys is a teacher in the kitchen and not only in Cuban, because they have knowledge of different cooking cultures, they have the gift to bring every day to the somewhat different table, the same for the breakfast, is impossible to eat everything what they put on the table, although you cannot avoid to prove each plate then by their presence only invites to you to try. the cleaning, organization and the good taste whereupon everything are arranged is the main thing that it characterizes to this house. papo prepares richest Cuban cocktails than we tried in all the island, strained pineapple, cubata and mojito is wonderful. the children to kar it and ale have a very good education and are very affectionate and hospitable. papo and niulvys help you in everything what you want to do…. excursions, long walks, trips to the beach and have a very good preparation more, also and general culture, you can speak of any present subject with ellos.nada that if itself speaking unemployment then to every short while does not come something good from this house to the mind.

Casa Niulvys y Papo

The best casa I stayed in during my trip to Cuba. This is mainly due to the hosts who are really helpful and nice people. They offer useful advice as to how best to occupy oneself. For me they organised biking and horse-riding within hours of my arrival. The food is both excellent and plentiful. As a result I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Casa Niulvys y Papo

We really enjoyed our 4 days in vinales, certainly because of the nice casa we were staying at. As mentioned in other reviews, breakfast and dinner was excellent. We were offered a variety of main and side dishes as it would have been a feast every day. Their porch was very nice for some relaxing hours with a perfect Mojito.
Papo y Niulvys made as feel like weve been good friends for a while and there was always a good atmosphere. I specially want to mention the patience that Niulvys had with my poor Spanish skills. Thanks to her I could improve a lot and after a while we had plenty of fun while talking.
Thank you Papo y Niulvys for these pleasant days!

Casa Niulvys y Papo

I came with the intention of staying 2 nights and ended up staying for 4. The house is comfortable, with a lovely porch looking onto the garden. The food was absolutely the best I had in Cuba and both Niulvys and Papo couldnt have been more helpful in giving their recommendations for things to do, organising trips and bringing me mojitos on the porch!

Casa Niulvys y Papo
 
This was the first casa we stayed in and also the nicest; we were in fact spoiled by Niulvys and Papo for the rest of our stay in Cuba! They were so nice to us and made us feel completely at home. We stayed on the veranda for hours and were offered excellent mojitos and food.
Ask for salsa de ajo (garlic paste), this can be eaten with any meal Niulvys makes. We had never eaten it before like this and we now eat it in Holland almost every day.

Casa Papo y Niulvys

General review: Our stay at Papo and Niulvys was by far our best experience in 16 days of staying at Cuban casas paricularas, in fact anywhere in the world. We were sorry that our tight travel plan did not allow for more time there. We wanted to see every aspect of Cuba.
The feeling of friendship with our hosts was exceptional. They were so helpful and caring!

Casa Papo y Niulvys

I booked this wonderful casa from a referral of a friend, before my trip started Niulvys was very helpful and responsive in answering my emails. Upon my arrival in Vinales, I received a warm welcome from Papo who waited for me at the Viazul bus stop. Before I even put down my luggage when arrived at the casa a freshly made pineapple juice was prepared by the wonderful cook Niulvys!! Over the next few days her cooking skills continued to impress me, i strongly recommend the deep fried tuna. There was never a dull moment during my stay in Vinales because Papo and Niulvys have a constant stream of ideas for you to avoid boredom, highlights include horseback riding in the Vinales countryside and the visit of the legendary Robaina tobacco plantation.

Casa Papo & Niulvys

It's a highly recomended casa. Papo y Niulvys are very warm and friendly people, saying goodbye to them was hard to do.
we wanted to stay for 2 nights but we stayed almost a week, impossible to leave this perfect casa. The food was like a dining experience in a 5 star hotel. Niulvys is an excellent cook. Ask for the homemade aioli and the fish with fresh tomato and garlic sauce and also, don't miss the fried fish!!
The casa is very quiet, spacious and clean. If you go (and you definitely should!) say hello to Niulvys for me. The only negative that i can come up with is that you gain a few pounds because the food is not only perfect and delicious but also comes in large portions :-) It's all biologic because they have their own garden of vegetebles!

Casa Niulvys y Papo

We staid two nights at Niulvys and Papo. After our two weeks tour through Cuba we decided staying at the casa of Papo & Niulvys was the best experience we had. Should you have any hesitations about hiring the casa, you will soon forget after you have met the hospitality of Papo and Niulvys. This hospitality included for us good food, the arrangement of a private horseback riding tour and most of all the help with the repair of our flat tire. The couple arranged this while we were continuing our visit to the St Thomas Cave.

Casa Niulvys y Papo

We had a wonderful four nights staying with Niulvys and Papo and their children! They are vivacious people who welcomed us warmly and fed us the best breakfasts and dinners we had in Cuba made from produce fresh from their huge garden. As we were there over Christmas, they made sure we were invited to the family feast where we had the privilege of celebrating and conversing with young and old from the extended family. Their house is clean, comfortable and centrally located in a family compound in a quiet neighbourhood. They are extremely helpful with organising touring in the area and other travel plans. Highly recommended!

Other services they offer: They are very helpful organising horseback rides, visits to tobacco plantations, trips to Cayos, walking paths in the area, etc.
Their parents next door also run a casa particular so it is a very convenient arrangement for families and friends traveling together.
Other comments: You will not find a warmer welcome anywhere in Cuba.

Casa Papo Y Niulvys
 
Papo and Niulvys are great host. They are both very warm and friendly people who will make you feel right at home. Their house is right next door to their parents house so the two combined might be a good choice for a larger family or group if you can arrange it. The house is bright, clean and comfortable and the room has a private bath. Meals are available at an additional charge but well worth it as the food was very good. We felt very safe and at home with Papo and Niulvys and would gladly stay again.
