Casa Hostal La Milagrosa

The nicely decorated casa particular of the very happy Milagros and her husband Bury is one of the best in Trinidad. Milagros loves to talk and help you in any way.
The casa is just a 5 minutes walk from the historical center in a nice real Cuban street.
Bury is a fantastic cook and prepares the most delicious dinners you will ever have in Cuba. Ask him for his specialities or have a BBQ at the rooftop terrace. For us he prepared a HUGE fish with fruits at the BBQ combined with patatoes in a special way, pilav rise and salade ... yummy
The airconditioned room has a little cozy balcony with a view in the street.

Casa Hostal La Milagrosa

Disappointment

That's my feeling regarding Casa La Milagrosa. After all the reviews I read I was very excited about staying there. But when I arrived I had someone waiting for me at the bus station, and that person didn't talk much. At some point we arrive to the house, but not to the house i booked (and confirmed), at some point I realise I wasn't in the right place and asked why I wasn't at La Milagrosa, at that point the lady started to say that La Milagrosa had told me, that she was at the Hospital, well, a bunch of big excuses. La Milagrosa as just across the street so I went there to wounder what was going on. When I varied I realize that they weren't at the Hospital like I was told, but right there. I asked why they changed and nobody told me anything and they start with excuses saying they couldn't have any tourists at te moment, and so, and so on, close to the end of our conversation some other couple arrived and stayed, and to me she was saying she couldn't take anyone :-S I never understood the reason, but I guess that just the way some Cubans are.
It's a petty!

Hostal La Milagrosa

A very clean and friendly casa.
Milagros and Bury could not be any better and we were made to feel at home the moment we arrived.
Bury's cooking is the best in Cuba we have been to Cuba six times and have travelled all over Cuba mostly staying in hotels.
We would have no hesitation in recommending their casa as its everything one could want and you are getting to know the real Cuba and Trinidad not the exclusive package holiday. We will defiantly return to stay with them in future.

Casa style: Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Cozy, Hidden gem, Roomy, Safe
Amenities: Internet, Private entrance, Airconditioning, Private bathroom, Minibar, Laundry service, Balcony,
How was your room?: Very Clean and comfortable with two double beds.
Fresh crisp bed linen and towels every two days.
Large Fridge well stocked from which we could help ourselves to. Balcony overlooking the street to observe the street life.
Private bathroom well stocked with toiletry's.
Lots of hot water.
How was the food the offer?: Anything you could want and no problem with fussy eaters.
we had dinner every night with wine except for one in the ten days we spent there. We also had breakfasts every morning. With the occasional cocktail on the terrace in the evening.
Bury is a fantastic Cook.
Other services they offer: Someone to mind our hired car at night.
They could organise trips or dancing lessons if we need them.
Nothing was a bother for them they are really very friendly and accommodatin.
Other comments: After our stay in La Milagrosa we would not ever stay at the hotels in Trinidad or the Playa.

Casa La Milagrosa

Our stay in Trinidad with Mila and Bury is one of the best and warmest memories we have of our holiday in Cuba. A lovely, friendly couple who go all out to make you feel at home. Any help you need they're always there! The room is cosy and well-maintained. The food is amazing - dont eat anywhere else, Burys food is the best! It's a lovely experience to stay with them, learn some salsa from Bury, meet their friends, etc. I would recommend this casa to anyone planning a visit to Trinidad.

Casa style: Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Safe
How was your room?: The room was cosy and well maintained.Large beds, clean sheets and private bathroom.
How was the food the offer?: The best in Cuba- Bury's the best!
Other services they offer: Helping you plan your days, organising taxis, salsa lessons...anything you need help in!

I stayed there at (date): 5 nights in December 2009

My husband and I stayed at Hostal La Milagrosa for 5 nights. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this casa to everyone. Milagrosa and Bury are wonderful hosts. The home is very clean and in a fantastic location--just 5 minutes from downtown Trinidad.

Casa style: Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Roomy, Romantic, Safe

How was your room?: Our room was large and clean with a private bathroom and balcony, which is fantastic to hang out on after a long day of site seeing while drinking a beer from the maxi-bar.

How was the food the offer?: Bury is a FANTASTIC cook and offered up some of the best food we had during our two-weeks in Cuba. A typical dinner consists of lobster encrusted in garlic and butter, crispy plantains, spicy black beans with cumin (the best I ever had), white rice, salad and coconut custard flan. Wear your pants with an elastic waistband since you won't be able to stop eating. He is also happy to accommodate vegetarians. Also, the setting for our meals was beautiful. Each night we had dinner on the rooftop terrace, which was incredibly romantic and very peaceful. We also had breakfast here every morning--equally good.

Other services they offer: Milagrosa will help make arrangements for day trips if help is needed. We often relied on her to recommend sites to see and transport. She was extremely helpful.

Other comments: Ask Bury to teach you salsa!

My stepdad and I stayed at La Milagrosa first for 5 nights and then we just had to come back to the wonderful place for 5 additional nights. The house and its owners (Mila and Bury) are amazing, the food is incredible and the city is full of life with good vibes. I would really like to recommend this outstanding Casa for everyone who plans to come to Trinidad in Cuba, it is simple the best one!!

'We had our own key and could come and go as we pleased'

We stayed for 3 nights at Hostal La Milagrosa. We booked through Cuba Junky (a great website for Cuba travel) and rang to confirm our reservation the day before.

We were met at the bus stop by Mila and she gave us a quick tour of Trinidad on the way back to the casa. Mila and Bury were fantastic hosts - they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and give us tips and what to see and do. We had our own key and could come and go as we pleased. The room was great; clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony for drinking cold Cristals from the fridge.

The food here was easily the best we had in Cuba. Lovely breakfasts (mango juice, omelette, treacle-like Cubita coffee) and we'd definitely recommend an evening meal taken on the roof terrace, the fish, fried banana, avocado, rice and beans were all delicious.

All in all we can't recommend Hostal La Milagrosa highly enough. Mila and Bury are perfect hosts.

My boyfriend and I stayed ther for 4 nights and we felt wondefull! It's true that Bury's food is very good (and that's quiet important after eating not very well in other citys)! Mila gave us advice about casa in ther citys ant they all were very good. They will always make everything to help you in order to make your stay at Trinidad perfect. We will never forget this casa and their eternal smile!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Hostal Plus for two nights in July 2009. The room was very clean and comfortable. The ensuite was beautiful except for the water pressure in the shower, which was really bad! The roof terrace was super and there were great views from it. We had breakfast and dinner in the casa both days and both days the food was good, especially compared to food that we had eaten in other parts of Cuba! Our hosts were lovely and helped to get us a taxi to the bus station when we were leaving and rang our next casa to let them know that we would be arriving. If you are a light sleeper the birds outside will wake you early in the morning!

This casa is the best that you can get in whole Cuba! They have a real nice, clean room with two big beds, air condition and private bath room. There is a fridge with all you could need. On the balcony you can watch what`s going on on the cuban street life. At their wonderful terrace you can take a sunbath or a sundowner, take the breakfast or the dinner. Bury is the cook at this house and he is doing his job better than anybody! You will never forget his delicious, creative dishes! Milagros will help you in anything what you need to organize!
With this friendly couple you will have a lot of fun and can get the real cuban spirit!
Don`t miss it!!!

'They thoroughly spoilt us while we were there'

This is surely the friendliest, loveliest casa in the whole of Cuba.
Bury and Milagros are wonderful hosts. Milagros looks after the bookings and will help with any transport you need to organise, while Bury is the most amazing cook. Eating his food is as good as eating in any restaurant. They thoroughly spoilt us while we were there and I'm sure it's the same for everyone who stays with them. They also have a beautiful house and so many people are in and out all the time that you feel a real part of the community while you are staying there. The bedroom is lovely and has its own terrace where you can watch the world go by. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very nice house near the historical center of Trinidad. We stayed at this house like at our home.
Milagros and Bury are very nice people. It's a pleasure talk with them while you drink a lemonade.
Bury is a very good cooker. If you will visit them at Trinidad, please ask him to prepare 'Ropa Vieja'

I stayed at this casa twice, and three weeks in total. The family is very warm, and accomodating. Bury is a great cook and will surprise everyday with something new. Milagros will help with everything starting from directions to the beach to booking others casas, taxis, buses.....  The house is located in a quiet part of the  Trinidad, but only 5 min away from park Cespedes and about 15 min from Casa de la Musica. The room is very private and has very comfortable bed matresses and real pillows, which is very rare in cuba in my experience. The room has a balcony. The house has a terrace where one can have romantic dinner or a b-day party, and it has very nice view on the sunset. I have been recommending this casa to my friends visiting Trinidad

I also stayed in the nice casa particular of Milagros and Bury. Two very nice people and their casa is wonderful. It's close to the center and in a nice neighbourhood. Bury cooks the best Italian food: you can even get your hair cut next door, where his hairdressers shop is. Milagros is very friendly also; she will help you with everything. Last year I visited them for the second time, and they made a great terrace on the roof. The view is stunning. If you want to feel the real Cuban vibe, go there. No doubt about it!

'All the people to whom I recommend this house come back over '

I spent all my free time in Trinidad and since I got to know this city and fall in love with it, I live in a "casa particular” whose owners are simply wonderful.
I see that there are some beautiful recommended houses in this site (some of them I recognized at a glance) and I heartly recommend enlisting the house of my friends: they have a lovely terrace where one can have delicious dinners and mojitos, looking at the sunset towards the sea. But all the comforts are nothing compared to the familiar and warm hospitality of Bury and Milagros. All the people to whom I recommend this house come back over and over again!!
