I would like to recommend Casa Marino, just a 5 minute walk from Parque Cespedes or Plaza Delores, at Rey Pelayo No. 112, between Reloj and Clarin. The house has a on its own room on the roof, with a great view of the city, A/C and fridge. The owner is an English professor at the university, and you can arrange one-on-one Spanish lessons with him. Great guy!
