Casa Azul
My review: If someone asked me, which was the best casa during your trip to Cuba, I would definitely say CASA AZUL.
The house was recently built in this Cuban contemporary architecture that makes you say wowwww! The owner and architect of the house is this amazing person called Norka. She was so interesting and everyday decorated the table with this beautiful cuban art dishes that fascinated us to a point of going to the ARTEX store to buy cuban art printed in cups and shower curtains. The bed was made everyday and the bathroom cleaned as well, this was nice since not all the casas do this. In addition, the bathroom and the mattress was up to european standards. In contrasts to other casas where normally you can hear the rooster and the music from the neighbors, the bedroom's high quality glass windows in addition to the metal shutters and A/C made possible to sound proof the room without suffocating. Moreover, the room and bathroom had 220 V and 110V sockets to recharge your devices that after a while of running around was really nice to find something like this in Cuba. The house was o! nly one block from the Parque Cespedes so the car was only necessary if we need it to go to La Piedra. Breakfast and dinner was superb! We felt in love with the frijoles, malanga and you name it!!! We are going back for sure!
