Greetings! My husband and I live in Montreal , Canada. In February-March 2010 we had our first visit to Cuba. It was a wonderful experience. We left with very positive impressions of the people especially. These impressions were greatly enhanced by the owners of the casas particulars in which we stayed during our time there.
It is over six months since we had this visit. Many times I have wanted to sit down at the computer to let you know how pleased we were with our three stays at casas that we chose on your web site and which turned out to be extremely enjoyable. And to thank you for your part in making the reservations and ensuring that all the necessary information had been given the owners, and confirming all with us before our departure. I apologize for taking so long to contact you; as they say "life got in the way" once we were back home!

I just finished my long trip and back to Hong Kong right now. It was a nice trip!
I want to say THANK YOU to you on help to find the Casa in Habana Vieja / Trinidad / Santiago de Cuba. I did like the best one is Trinidad (Casa Yaneisy), the location is very close to the bus station, the woman was very nice, attentive and a good cook. Especially I love the bean soup and fried banana.
The 2nd one is Santiago (Miguel y damaris), the man and his wife are so funny and talkerive, the woman also a good cook!

Gord and I really enjoyed our Havana trip thanks to your experience, organization, and flexibility. From meeting us at the bus stop and teaching us how to cross the streets to the fantastic drinks and meals in your apartment where you answered our questions very thoroughly, you were truly our "man in Havana". For us, the best part of what you offer is a sense of peace and comfort in the hustle and bustle of the city. Gord, as a first-time international traveler, was especially appreciative of this, as well as the two hour tour in the '52 convertible Cadillac. For me, having a cultural interpreter was invaluable; it was great to learn about "restaurant etiquette" so I wouldn't make the same mistakes again.
In sum, your professionalism and personal attention balanced perfectly to make our short excursion away from the "tourist treadmill" a comfortable and memorable one.

Both Mansour and I had a great experience in Cuba, especially in Havana. I'm assuring you I will definitely come back and perhaps have a longer stay in Havana. We'll have to come with a camera next time so we can keep some souvenirs.

Pototo and Cuba- Junky
Having decided to spend our 25th wedding anniversary touring Cuba, my wife and I spent some time researching Casa Particulares on the internet, fortunately we stumbled across the Cuba Junky site, and in particular Pototo.
Using the site and then Pototo's expertise we were able to book all the Casas we wanted to and a car, with no difficulties at all. Pototo was really helpful and generous with his advice via e-mails and when we arrived late at night in Havana because of a flight delay and the taxi driver had some difficulty locating the Casa, Pototo was on hand at the end of a telephone line, he called the Casa owner who popped out to meet us , great service. The rest of our trip went like clockwork, all the casas were excellent and the owners were just wonderful people catering for all our possible needs, they could not have been more helpful.
We had an excellent tour guide in Havana called Yariley who was very well informed and utterly charming, we enjoyed our tour immensley and learnt a lot about Havana and Cuba.
We hope to return for our 30th to see the East of the country and if so we will definitely be using Cuba-Junky Keep up the good work.

Pototo is amazing. This was my first time going to Cuba and Pototo made all my arrangements for my Casa. Later in my trip he gave me advice on transport and arranged to give my donations to the people, school and animal sanctuary. I met his sister and his wife, lovely people. I would certainly recommend his services to anyone visiting Havana. A lovely man and a great ambassador for the Cuban people.

Pototo is everything Cuba-Junky says he is. This was our first time going to Cuba and we wanted to get a feel for what the real Cuba felt like (not the inside of a resort). Pototo made all the arrangements for our Casa and patiently dealt with all our questions and concerns - all through email. When we arrived everything was as planned and he even called shortly after our arrival to make sure everything was alright and invite us over for a coffee. Later in our trip he gave us advise on a side trip to vinales and arranged a Casa for us there. Pototo was a great help to us and I would certainly recommend his services to anyone visiting Havana. My only regret was missing out on his pizza. I guess we\'ll just have to go back:)

Pototo enabled us to meet and experience life in Havana.It was very interesting and educational. Cuban life is so different from what we are use to and staying in the CASA PARTICULAR (lovely antiques and a wonderful breakfast), having a personal walking tour and personal driver tour and sharing a meal cooked by our host Pototo sure gave us ample time to ask loads of questions, and enjoy Cuban hospitality.We certainly would never have had nearly the experienceor learned as much and enjoyed some of Pototos jokes, on a regular bus tour provided by the travel companys. I connected with Casa Junky via a special friend sending me the link as she has had to listen to my obsession and interest in Cuba in the last 5 months while planning my trip.
I booked my first Casa through Cuba Junky as didnt fancy searchign after a long flight.
Potato sent lovely warm vibes from Havana and i felt protected.
I was reccomended a perfect first Casa wth panaromic views of the city , and wonderful warm genuine hosts. After 10 days travelling Cuba and losing cash and with an invalid credit card.
I ran into a dilemnda with cash and Potato returned a call i forgot i made. Letting me know I was welcome to come to his house if i needed anything. I visited him more out of respect and grattitude. As did not want to take off him and still had faith that things were working on my level.
He was warm funny and chilled, and his lovely wife he introduced me to Alya, and proudly showed me photos of his beautiful family.
He offered me his house as his if needed as well as offering me money. I did not take but a lifeline if things god worse, and would never abuse. In a nutshell a very warm kind family who i felt privelaged to meet. I need to sort out Pay Pal as really need to donate to this fabulous big hearted web site . Muchas gracias for your support and friendsip/hospitality.
The Beer was nectar ( medicine) at this point of my journey.

I don't know how to show our appreciation for the excellent service we got from Mr Pototo! MUCHOS muchos GRACIAS! We had booked a couple of nights in Havanna (dec -09) and some nights at La Boca (jan -10) and the rest we holded opened! But at place we reconsider to spend more time at Trinidad and Havanna and asked Pototo for help finding casa particulares... and he fixed it all the way!

We planned our own driving route and P arranged the accomodations ( or altenatives) We did 1600 kilometers in Cuba over a week of driving with no problem.
