Review
Lester and Naty are wonderful hosts who delight you with their genuinely warm welcome.
Their casa is a place of quiet retreat and relaxation.
The food,which they serve with such attention to detail,is simply delicious.
Lester goes out of his way to make sure that all your needs are met , and then some.
We stayed at five different casas particulares and this one was the best.
Lester and Naty are special.

How was your room?: We stayed in the small room at the beginning of our trip and the big room at the end of our trip.Both rooms were fine.The ceilings are so high that you feel as if you are in a mansion.
The beds are somewhat firm,by North American standards, but as you become accustomed to them they prove quite comfortable.
The bathrooms are small but adequate and are spotlessly clean.
How was the food they offer?: The food was superb.
There was more variety than at other casas,especially at breakfast.
The meals were similar to other casas but but displayed more subtle flavors,especially in the soups.
Lester and Naty are both very good cooks.
Other services they offer: If you mention your plans to Lester he will see that they are met as economically as possible.
He will arrange for pick-up at Santa Clara airport.If you arrive by Viazul bus he will personally meet you at the bus station and arrange to have you and your luggage transported to Casa Buenviaje.
He will make all the necessary arrangements if you want to stay at another casa or casas on your trip.
He will arrange for transportation,shared or otherwise,to the white sands of Playa Salinas out on the nearby keys.
Other comments: If you want an interesting " people " holiday then Lester and Naty's is the place to start and, perhaps like us, to finish.

If you want a mellow place to chill, and to stay with some truly wonderful hosts, then Remedios is the place and Buen Viaje is the Casa. Naty and Lester are truly lovely people who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Both of them are excellent chefs and eating their breakfasts and dinners were some of the finest meals we had during our three weeks in Cuba. Lester and Naty are both from the area and have a great perspective on local history and culture, not to mention a fabulous sense of humour! We'll forever remember our stay at Buen Viaje and feel that we have some life-long friends in Lester and Naty.

My fiancee and I chose to visit Remedios for the Las Parrandas festival. Normally for 51 weeks of the year Remedios is a sleep little town but for 1 week it comes alive with fireworks, music and thousands of people form all over cuba. However there are other attractions to make Remedios a worthwhile stop on your trip in Cuba. It is a short cab ride away from Santa Clara where you can visit the Che memorial and a cigar factory, you can also visit Cayo Santa Maria with its beautiful beaches and great diving but best of all you can stay with Lester and Naty in their wonderful Casa. Lester and Naty are wonderful hosts looking after your every need, making sure you are comfortable and relaxed. There is nice secluded garden to relax in and Lester is always thinking about ways to improve yo! ur stay and the casa. He really knows what customer service is all about which is very refreshing in a country which is severly lacking it. We met some fantastic people during our time in Remedios and would highly recommend that you stay at Hostal Buen Viaje.

How was the food they offer?: we were fed at every meal to bursting point with wonderfully cooked fresh food and nothing is ever too much.

My friend, her little girl (4.5yrs old) and I travelled to Remedios for the Las Parrandas festival during christmas. Lester & Naty were so incredibly kind to us. Their knowledge of the town and surrounding areas was great, they organised tours for us and even made sure we got to Havana safe and sound to make our early flight.
The festival was a truly amazing experience and we were looked after so well. The food was spectacular, the best in cuba especially for this vegetarian! I wish we had longer to stay in Remedios, Lester, Naty and their friends will stay in our hearts forever!

How was your room?: Great, Clean, lovely courtyard.
How was the food they offer?: Food was fantastic. Being a vegetarian my choice was limited in most restaurants but Lester and Naty looked after my dietary requirements and the food was superb! Lobster, fish, beautiful fresh salads. I couldn't ask for more.
Other services they offer: Lester organised our taxi's to the beach and made sure we kept the cost down. He also made sure that we got a great price for our taxi trip back to Havana for our early flight.
