Casa El Tulipan is one of the best options for your stay in Trinidad. Bernardo, the owner of Casa El Tulipan is married to the Dutch Marga and both live on the ground floor of the casa particular.
They rent an apartment on the top floor with your private entrance and own bathroom, kitchen, living room and fantastic huge rooftop terrace from wich you have a view over Trinidad and can peek into the Trinidad street. Really a unique casa for Trinidad.
Marga and Bernardo are great and very helpfull people. Bernardo can organise salsa lessons, horseback ridings through the mountains and other tours for you while Marga will be the one to teach you all about the surroundings and can help you with finding the best restaurant in Trinidad, and much more.

We are a bed & breakfast and serve your breakfast daily on the sunny terrace.
We can arrange Spanish lessons. A intense Spanish course of two hours per day, one hour lesson and one hour in practics where you will get a tour along the city of Trinidad. The teacher is specialized in communication courses for foreigners.

How did you make the reservation?: The casa directly

Marga and Bernando are the warmest and most welcoming people you can find and they will make sure that you will have the best stay! We spent 11 lovely days in the cozy apartment. There is also a beautiful, huge and private terrace where you can find both sun and shadow. It’s very relaxing with plants, a hammock and the traditional rocking chairs and every day the cutest little hummingbird visited us. The place is kept very clean during the stay and we didn’t miss a thing. The apartment also have a nice indoor relaxing area with a sofa and some books and there is a small kitchen where you can make coffee or cook your own food.

How was your room?: Excellent!

How was the food?: The breakfast is good and similar to all places in Cuba with coffe/tea, juice, bread, cheese, ham, eggs, fruit and some sweets.

Other services they offer: We had some classes in Spanish and salsa organized for us and both teachers are very, very good! In the room you can also find plenty of information about places to visit and different tours. Bicycles for rent can be arranged! Wifi when you need it! Other comments:
