Massage
Looking for a massage in Trinidad? From my own experience, Sandy is the guy you are looking for. Officially he is a physio therapist but due to Cuban law he can't "just start" a medical physio therapy health center so he started a small massage practice. Realy nice serious person with skills.
You can find him close to the Casa de la Trova in the gallery. His small practice is in a room at the patio garden behind the gallery.

Salsa lessons
Review: For those of you who would like to learn some Cuban salsa. You have to do it in Trinidad. My stiff Norwegian lims, that I thought could never learn salsa, was proven wrong. Ruben is an amasing danser, and even better teacher. Make an apointment with him. You will not regret it. Phonenumber; 53081763

Thieves
Review: Cubans do not like foreigners. They call them YUMAS. To them we are just the creaturas of money. They do not think of us as human beings. We are creatures with shampoo, deodorant, shoes and bags of money. They will smile at you but they think money. There is not ONE HONEST CUBAN human being. They communicate among themselves, they PRETEND to communicate with us. In every Casa Particulare or Hotel on the street, you have to be on guard. They will steal anything and everything. BE ON GUARD WHEN IN CUBA. Police will not help you. They are very poor, so poor that they have lost every morals or etics of a human being. They will pretend to love you, they will pretend to have good time with you, BE ON GUARD. CUBANS HATE YUMAS. To them we are just golden goose. Take great care not to become one.

About the opinion of Diana(UK) of Trinidad
I just read the review of Diane of The united Kingdom about Trinidad. It is incredeble what she is telling abour the Cubans. "they don t see us as human beings, we are yumas, we are just good for the money, it is not safe on the streets, they robe you, the police doesn t work, they are so poor etc, etc"
Ï think, she is a poor girl, to write those things about the people of Trinidad and Cuba. She didn t see the good things of the Cubans. Please don t take her review serious. I think she had one bad experience and now........... And I know what I am saying, because I live for 10 years in Trinidad and I am a Yuma as well. |

Trinidad is an easy town to walk around in, as the old part is not too big. It's very interesting with fantastic architecture, music and what I thought, were the best cigars I came across! Some of the buildings had wooden or steel bars in the front, and even for way back then, it was required for security reasons.
Not only were the cigars really nice, but they were made for us there, and I even was able to try one that was made for us immediately! Oh, the costs of the cigars were cheaper than Havana too I thought.
We also came across a "ration store". Cubans are allowed a certain amount of food for a very minimal cost which is all controlled by the government. It seems No-one went hungry in Cuba, which is really nice to know.
